Wise
Wise or formerly Transferwise is a service that allows you to send and receive money from different countries with different currencies. The rates offered is among the best, much better than most banks.
You select the currency you want to send, it gives you a quote. If you are happy with it, you transfer money from your bank account into Wise, and the money will reach the recipient within a few minutes.
Besides that, Wise also allows you to hold a certain amount in virtual bank accounts in different currencies like USD, Euro, Yen, British Pounds etc.
Why do you want to do that, you ask?
A virtual bank account in USD allows me to be paid in USD into an account in The United States. It is faster and cheaper than say Paypal which has significant fees. It also allows me to send money to Interactive Brokers, a broker I use to invest in US stocks and elswhere.
I do not need to be in the US to open a US based bank account.

Interactive Brokers (IBKR)
I use Interactive Brokers, IBKR to invest in markets like US or EU. Interactive Brokers is an established broker, among the largest electronic brokers based on daily average revenue trades. Best of all, the fees are among the lowest.
I’ve used them since 2020 and have invested a small amount with them. The have a smartphone app that allows you to buy and sell stocks, exchange traded funds, options and more.
